Adolio Gonzalez, 89, passed away Monday, April 3, 2006. Mr. Gonzalez was born in Old Zapata, Texas. He lived in San Jose, California for over 25 years where he retired and then moved to Laredo, Texas. He was a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Gonzalez loved to visit ranches and spend time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters; Juan Gonzalez, Ernesto Gonzalez, Genoveva Gonzalez, Chencho Gonzalez, Herlinda Gonzalez, Zenaida Gonzalez and Manuela Gonzalez. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maria A. Gonzalez, children; Roberto (Florinda) Gonzalez, Roel (Sandra) Gonzalez, Genoveva (Luis) Garcia, Diana Gonzalez, Ruben (Rachel) Gonzalez, Estela (Eloy) Gonzalez and Melissa (David) Gutierrez all from Laredo, 16 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 4, 2006 from 4 – 9pm at Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 from Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 am. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Ruben Gonzalez, Luis Alberto Garcia, Carlos Rene Garcia, Marcos Gabriel Garcia, Roberto Gonzalez, Jr., Leroy Morgan, David Gonzalez and Roel Gonzalez, Jr.; honorary pallbearers will be: Gilberto Gonzalez, Roman Javier Gonzalez and Gabriel Gonzalez
