Obituary For Alexander Castillo

Alexander Castillo, 29, entered into eternal rest, Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Alexander enjoyed writing poetry and listening to oldies music in his free time. He was an avid reader and had a special interest in History, Geography and Philosophy. He had an interest in learning to speak different languages so he taught himself French, German and was recently learning Vietnamese with his best friend (grandfather) Papi. How he loved his private conversations with him. They would talk about the time Papi was drafted to serve in the Vietnam war. The connection between them was truly amazing and unique. They could talk about anything for hours. They had a bond that no one understood except for them and was envied from afar by many.

Mr. Castillo is preceded in death by his uncle; Jose Tovar.

He is survived by his maternal grandparents who raised him; Filiberto and Anita Mendiola, raised by his dear aunt; Nora Mendiola, beloved mother; America (Pablo) Esquivel, daughter; Dayra Yatzel, siblings; Armando (Rocio) Castillo, Austin Castillo and Argentina Denise Mendiola, grandparents; Armando and Rosalinda Castillo, uncle; Valdemir and nieces; Destiny Castillo and Megan Castillo; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will greatly miss him.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Gordo, it doesn't get any easier. You left us too soon. Only you and God knew what burdens you carried. Life became unbearable. You were tired. God saw you were suffering and couldn't handle it anymore. He put His arms around you and took you home. We are left with a big void in our hearts that no one will ever fill. We're at peace knowing that you are in Gods Kingdom. No more pain. No more demons to fight. We will always miss you. Till we meet again. RIP Alejandrito... Love you ❤️❤️❤️

Sobrino can't believe you gone we are all heartbroken. I still remember the 1st time we hung out in 2016 in Austin . From then we would text and call each other. I gonna miss the funny texts and phone calls. You showed me the real meaning of resilience and being unselfish. You had your battles yet you still texted or called me checking on me. You helped take care of your grandparents not to many people at your young age would do that. True historian buff and smart young man. You would send me a long ass text pissing me off me telling you to smart for me. I'm still crying 😢 I know I'm being selfish but God gots you bro I love you. Mando and Austin love you all as well you all need something call me 832 361-2607. Alex love the poem I will hang it on a picture frame thank you . Rip Alex and condolences to your family.

Chihuahua Alex, so many times you said you had depression but you wouldn't take your life. I know you didn't mean to do that. I'm sorry you went thru so much in such a short time, but no more sadness for you. Wish things could have been much better. Praying for your family.

Rest in peace Alex....you leave a big void in our hearts. You are at peace now....look after Mami, Papi, y Norita. This is not good bye, but a see you later. ❤

  • August 20, 2021

Alex, it breaks my heart that you were taken so unexpectedly. Your memory will leave us and live long in our hearts. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. I will miss talking to you about politics, you were the only one that knew and understood, and always had something to say. I will forever treasure those memories. Lord knows I will miss not hearing your voice when I call Mami. Of all the many blessings, however great or small, to have had you for a nephew was the greatest one of all. The family chain is broken now and nothing seems the same, but as God take us one by one the chain will link again. Love you, Alex and go rest in the arms of the Lord in peace.

Never did i think i would be reading your obituary Alex. You leave behind endless selfies, and a lot of broken hearts grieving, & left to wonder with the What If's....sadly you weren't ready to get the help you so much needed. God is good Alex, he carried you during the storms you went thru, and now he will welcome you into his kingdom where you are now a free soul with no pain....go be you Alex with that beautiful smile of yours....our loss is heavens gain. Goodbyes are never good Gordo, so this is only a see you later Apa. ❤
