Alicia Cortez, 56, entered into eternal rest Monday, April 4, 2016. Mrs. Cortez is preceded in death by her parents, Bulmaro (Lucina Castillo) Aguilar.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Carlos Cortez; children, Carlos Alberto (San Juanita) Cortez, Ricardo (Selina) Cortez, Eduardo (Kristy) Cortez, Elizabeth Cortez; grandchildren, Lily Cortez, Eduardo Ernesto Cortez, Dylan Cortez, Liam Carlos Cortez; sisters, Isaura (Agustin) Galicia and Rosa (Lorenzo) Olivares; brothers, Jose Aguilar, Jesus (Teresa) Aguilar, Rene (Maria Refugio) Aguilar, Francisco (Maria Guadalupe) Aguilar; as well as nieces nephews other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2016, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016 from the funeral home to Saint Augustine Cathedral Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow immediately in the Laredo City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Carlos Cortez, Carlos A. Cortez, Ricardo Cortez, Eduardo Cortez, Agustin Galicia and Agustin Galicia, Jr.
