Angela A. Cantu, 77, was called by the Lord on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Mrs. Cantu was preceded in death by her mother, Soledad Sanchez, sister, Dolores Sanchez and aunt: Delfina Ramirez. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Horacio Cantu, children: Patricia Cantu, Araceli (Gilberto M.) Galan, Horacio (Angela) Cantu Jr., Humberto Cantu and Jose A. Cantu, grandchildren: Javier Arrian Gonzalez, Annissa V. Gonzalez, Stephanie D. Galan, Jennifer K. Galan, Gilberto M. Galan Jr., Joshua Cantu and Matthew Cantu, great-grandson, Alexander Dante Moss, sisters and brother: Concepcion Alaniz, Soledad Flores and Mario A. (Leticia) Martinez, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013, from 5pm to 9pm at Nieto Funeral Home and Crematory where a vigil for the deceased will commence at 6:30pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 2, 2013, from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Nolasco Hinojosa at 9:00am. Interment will follow immediately at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to Dr. Zuniga Goldwater, Dr. Benson Huang, Heart 2 Heart Skilled Nursing, especially Rebecca Maldonado, and the 3rd floor nursing staff of the Laredo Medical center for all the attention given to Mrs. Cantu while under their care.
