Obituary For Antonio Peña
Antonio Peña, 65, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Tony's life was a remarkable tribute to the transformative power of love and family. As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, he selflessly shared his heart with those around him. He was admired for his strong work ethic as an Oil Field Driller. His passion for game fowl breeding was truly inspiring, and his expertise in this area was unmatched. In his youth, Tony exemplified the spirit of adventure, enjoying activities such as horseback riding, bull riding, and steer wrestling. A true cowboy at heart, his enthusiasm was contagious. Tony's loyalty to the Kansas City Chiefs was unwavering, and his optimism served as a beacon of hope. Whenever someone was feeling down, Tony's words of encouragement lifted their spirits. Despite the challenges he faced as a dialysis patient, Tony's resilience never wavered. His love for his own bloodline of roosters remained strong. May his legacy continue to inspire generations in Laredo, Texas. The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Nan, Dr. Norberto Alvarez, Satellite Dialysis Center, Ray Riojas from Digni Ambulance Services and LMC ICU nursing staff.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo Peña and Josephina Peña; brother, Abel Peña.
He is survived by his wife, Raquel Peña; children, Antonio Peña, Jr. and Melissa L. Peña (Alberto Castañeda, Jr.); grandchildren, Alyssa R. Peña, Cecilia Peña, Luis Gonzales III and Alexia R. Navarro (Ivan Huerta); great grandchildren, Ivan “Ace” Huerta and Nico Huerta; siblings, Alfredo Peña (Elisa Peña), Nancy Granado (Gene Granado), Alberto Peña (Esmeralda Peña)), Alfonso Peña (Mary Talamantez) and Norma Vasquez (Victor Vasquez) along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In honor of Mr. Peñas wishes only a cremation will be done without any services.
