On March 24, 2009, at age 83, Armandina Q. Cruz left this world to fly with the angels and be with her late husband, Carlos H. Cruz and her son, Carlos Cruz, Jr. Armandina was born and raised in Laredo and loved calling Laredo home. She is survived by a daughter, Natalie Dowd of Austin and a son, Armando Cruz of Cibolo and grandaughters, Monica and Ashley and a great granddaughter, Alissa. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 27, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 3600 McPherson. "In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Assoc."
