Arturo Manuel Arce, 84, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at a local hospital with his family by his side. Mr. Arce served in the U.S. Air Force and was a World War II veteran. He made many friends and acquaintances while working as a mechanic for Joe Guerra Exxon over 30 years. Mr. Arce was preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe Arce. He is survived by his children: Connie (+Michael) Snead, Jose G. (Angela) Arce, Norma Arce, Arturo (Juanita) Arce, Jr. and Ricardo (Araceli) Arce all of Laredo, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 17, 2007 at Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home with visitation from 8am to 11am and a chapel service at 10:30 am. Deacon Jose Rodriguez will be officiating. Interment will follow to the City Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 59. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home, 802 Coke St.
