Obituary For Clay Hector Idrogo

Clay Hector Idrogo, 72, of Laredo, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, with his loving wife by his side. Clay was born on December 21, 1947, in Laredo, Texas.

After graduating from Holding Institute, Clay joined the Navy and served aboard the USS Oriskany for 3 years, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. Upon returning home he married Norma, the love of his life, in June 1974. They were married for 46 years. Clay worked retail in Laredo for many years. He ended his career as manager at Family Dollar. Clay didn’t know a stranger and was always happy to talk to people.

He was preceded in death by his parents Candido and Zenona Idrogo; brothers Frank Idrogo and Candido Idrogo, Jr.

Clay is survived by his beloved wife Norma Idrogo; nephew David J. Rodriguez (Valerie) of San Antonio; niece Nora E. Rodriguez of San Antonio; Brother-in-Law Enrique R. Rodriguez (Kendra) of San Antonio; Sister-in-Law Olga I. Rodriguez of Laredo; Sister-in-Law Esther S. Rodriguez of San Antonio, as well as many other family members and friends. A service of remembrance is pending.
