It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and friend, Efrain Lopez, who peacefully passed away on November 14, 2024, at the age of 98 surrounded at home by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A man of strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication, he leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unforgettable memories.
Born on October 16, 1926, in General Cepeda, Coahuila MX., Efrain Lopez lived a life that reflected his passions and principles. He was an avid fan of baseball and boxing, sports that mirrored the values he instilled in all of us—teamwork, perseverance, and the courage to face life's challenges head-on.
Efrain Lopez worked for 20 years at La Posada Hotel, where he was known for his exceptional work ethic, reliability, and kindness. After two decades of service, he pursued his dream of entrepreneurship, opening his own business, which he owned and operated for 14 years. His dedication to both his work and his family were hallmarks of his character
Together with his wife, they grew a beautiful large family, which includes 4 children, 12 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He was a pillar of strength, a source of unconditional love, and an unwavering presence in the lives of all who knew him.
Efrain Lopez was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Alicia A. Lopez and daughter Guillermina Lopez, grandson Wilhelm A. Lopez, and great grandchildren Matias Oceguera and Franco Figuero. He is survived by his children, Georgina Oceguera, Alicia E. Gonzalez/Diego H. Gonzalez, and Efrain Lopez Jr./Diana T. E. Lopez, his grandchildren, Jorge O. Oceguera/Tina, Walleska Torres/Raul, Afsaneh Boyd/Josh, Diana Figueroa/Roberto, Alicia C. Trevino/Bobby, Amber Almanza/Rogelio, Karen Gonzalez/Paige, Alessio Lopez, Efrain Lopez lll, Heathcliff Lopez, Nadja Lopez/Andres, and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will be receiving condolences on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Nieto Funerals & Cremations from 8:00 am to 10:30 am when the funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 11:00 am for Interment at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Alessio Lopez, Efrain Lopez III, Heathcliff A. Lopez, Orlando Oceguera, Roberto Figueroa, Bobby Trevino, Rogelio Almanza, Andres R. Rodriguez and Raul Torres. Honorary Pallbearer will be Efrain Lopez Jr.
Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, hard work, and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him. Rest in peace, Efrain “Tito” Lopez. You will be missed more than words can say.

Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestro amado padre, abuelo y amigo, Efraín López, quien falleció apaciblemente el 14 de noviembre de 2024, a la edad de 98 años, rodeado en casa con sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos. Un hombre de fuerza, perseverancia y dedicación inquebrantable, deja un legado de amor, trabajo duro y recuerdos inolvidables.
Nacido el 16 de octubre de 1926 en General Cepeda, Coahuila MX., Efraín López vivió una vida que reflejó sus pasiones y principios. Era un fantico asiduo del béisbol y del boxeo, deportes que reflejaban los valores que inculcó en todos nosotros: trabajo en equipo, perseverancia y el coraje para enfrentar los desafíos de la vida.
Efraín López trabajó durante 20 años en La Posada Hotel, donde era conocido por su excepcional ética de trabajo, confiabilidad y amabilidad. Después de dos décadas de servicio, persiguió su sueño de emprender y abrió su propio negocio por 14 años. Su dedicación tanto a su trabajo como a su familia fueron sellos distintivos de su carácter. Junto con su esposa, formaron una hermosa y numerosa familia, que incluye 4 hijos, 12 nietos y 18 bisnietos, quienes llevarán su recuerdo por siempre en sus corazones. Fue un pilar de fortaleza, una fuente de amor incondicional y una presencia inquebrantable en las vidas de todos los que lo conocieron.
Efraín López, a quien se le adelantaron en la muerte su amada esposa, Alicia A. López, hija Guillermina Lopez, nieto Wilhelm A. Lopez y bisnietos Matias Oceguera y Franco Figueroa. Trevino/Bobby, Amber Almanza/Rogelio, Karen González/Paige, Alessio López, Efraín López lll, Heathcliff López, Nadja López/Andres y muchos familiares y amigos que lo extrañarán profundamente.
La familia recibirá sus condolencias el lunes 18 de noviembre del 2024 en Nieto Funerals & Cremations de 8:00 am a 10:30 am cuando la procesión fúnebre saldrá de la funeraria a las 11:00 am para el entierro en el Cementerio Católico.
Los portadores del féretro serán Alessio Lopez, Efrain Lopez III, Heathcliff A. Lopez, Orlando Oceguera, Roberto Figueroa, Bobby Trevino, Rogelio Almanza, Andres R. Rodriguez y Raul Torres. El portador honorario del féretro será Efrain Lopez Jr.
Aunque ya no esté con nosotros, su legado de amor, trabajo duro y perseverancia vivirá en los corazones de todos los que tuvieron la suerte de conocerlo. Descansa en paz, Efraín “Tito” López. Te extrañaremos más de lo que las palabras pueden expresar.
