Elia Jaramillo, 71, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Mrs. Jaramillo was preceded in death by her; husband, Simon Jaramillo; son, Pedro Jaramillo and parents, Felix (Jacoba) Vela, Sr. She is survived by; children, Alberto Rodriguez, Jose Servando Rodriguez, Olga Lidia Jaramillo, Armandina (Castulo) Alvarez, Lucilla (Omar) Gonzalez, Leonel Jaramillo and Simon (Guadalupe) Jaramillo; 23 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Barbarita (Manuel) Camposano and Alicia (Leon) Butanda; brothers, Felix (Lupita) Vela, Jr. and Agustin (Diana) Vela; also nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mrs. Jaramillo will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 19, 2009 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the family’s residence Santa Fe Ranch in Rio Bravo, Texas and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, February 20, 2009 from Santa Fe Ranch to Santa Rita Catholic Church. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow to the Felix Vela Cemetery in Rio Bravo, Texas. Pallbearers will be Ramiro Vela, Joaquin Medina, Felix Medina, Roberto Vela, Tino Vela, Jr. and Gilberto Vela.
