Elida C. Medina, 86, entered into eternal rest, Monday, November 19, 2018. Mrs. Medina is preceded in death by her; children, Rodrigo Ezequiel Medina, Ismael Medina, Matilde Medina and Miguel Angel Medina; parents, Mauricio Colchado and Ines F. Colchado; and siblings, Jose Colchado and Genaro Colchado.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years of marriage, Rodrigo Medina; daughter, Nora Gonzalez; grandchildren, Nancy Maldonado, Amanda Calderon, Violeta Valencia, Carolina Gonzalez, Guadalupe Gonzalez, Carlos P. Gonzalez, III, Maria Cristina Gonzalez; 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Maria Zarate and Christina Zarate; as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends that will greatly miss her.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 23, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Encinal, Texas. Holy mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Everyone will meet at the church. Interment will follow immediately at the Encinal Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Alfredo Rodriguez, Freddy Maldonado, Nancy Maldonado, Carolina Gonzalez, Steve Bentacourt and Arnulfo Benavides.
