Obituary For Elsa Skyles

Elsa Skyles, 68, entered into eternal rest, Sunday, June 6, 2021. Ms. Skyles is preceded in death by her husband; Herman Roy Skyles, Sr., parents; Longino and Gregoria Chavez, and siblings; Longino "Kino" Chavez, Jr., Alberto Chavez, Antonio Chavez and Elia Enriquez.

She is survived by her children; Amanda (Delia Deanda) Skyles, Herman Roy (Jasmine) Skyles, Jr., Michael Roy (Yesenia) Skyles; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, siblings; Elba (Jose) Huerta, Manuel Chavez, Gerardo (Silvia) Chavez, Jose A. (Nobelena) Chavez, Alonzo (Margarita) Chavez, Raymond Chavez and Doris (Ventura+) Hernandez, aunt; Belia Flores; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends that will greatly miss her.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 7:00 am to 11:00 am at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, where a rosary will be held at 9:00 am. Funeral procession will follow to Blessed Sacrament Church, where a mass will begin at 11:30 am. Cremation services will be held at a later date. Pallbearers will be:Jose Alfredo Chavez, Manuel Chavez, Raymond Chavez, Ricardo Chavez, Francisco Enriquez Jr., Ventura Hernandez Jr., Alonzo Chavez, Jose Antonio Huerta. Honorary pallbearer: Micheal Roy Skyles, .

Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, 802 Coke St. Laredo, TX 78040. Condolences can be expressed to the family online at www.nietofuneral.com.

    My dear beloved sister-in-law ♥️ I have only beautiful memories of you ( never a dull moment by your side ) We always got along so well maybe because ,like you used to say ,we were both Libras ⚖️♎️ but in reality we enjoyed each other's true friendship . Drinking coffee and listening to country music was always a must in our gatherings .     My grandma was one of the strongest and bravest woman's i knew. She helped raised me to become the woman i am today. Im going to miss drinking coffee with her at 5am and listening to country music with her. visiting laredo without my grandma will not be the same anymore. I loved spending the summers with my grandma. Now grandpa has someone to drink his mornings coffee with. I will miss you so much grandma.
