Esperanza Torres entered into eternal rest in God's Kingdom on April 4, 2019 at Laredo Medical Center.

Left to cherish Esperanza is her husband of 37 years; Jesus Castaneda Torres, nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters and friends. Esperanza is preceded in death by her parents; Mr. and Mrs. Guillermo (Manuela) Mata, maternal grandmother; Ms. Concepcion Leija, and mother in law; Ms. Maria Castaneda Torres who loved her as her own daughter.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 pm. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church. Funeral mass will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will follow immediately at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of the immediate family. In lieu of flowers her husband asks that donations be made to the Laredo Animal Protective Society (LAPS) to honor Esperanza who loved her pet cats.
