Evaristo Jimenez, 91, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011. Mr. Jimenez worked for the City of Laredo for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his mother; Maria Gonzalez, sister; Susana Gonzalez, brother; Ezequiel Jimenez, in-laws; Maria de La Luz Martinez and Pilar Molina, granddaughter; Denise Jimenez. He is survived by his wife of 68 years of marriage, Maria Jimenez, children; Juan Roberto (Elvia) Jimenez and Jose Javier (Gloria) Jimenez, grandchildren; Juan, Ruben Jimenez, Norma (Raul) Lopez, Melissa Jimenez and Javier Jimenez and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 4pm to 9pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary recited at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 from Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory to San Agustin Cathedral. Holy mass will be celebrated at 9am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be; Juan Jimenez, Ruben Jimenez, Javier Jimenez, Ubaldo "Chacho" Carrillo, Jesus Gerardo "Chuy" Ramirez and Ubaldo "Baldo" Barrera.
