Felipe M. Samano, 89, passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 at a local hospital. Mr. Samano was born in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, MX and lived in Laredo most of his life. He was employed at LISD for many years and retired from IBC in 1990. Mr. Samano enjoyed gardening, traveling to many places especially to San Francisco,CA and spending time with his family and pet. Mr. Samano is survived by his wife of 67 years, Maxima Samano, daughter; Dolores (Reynaldo) Garza of Laredo, sons; Ramon (Anita) Samano of Laredo and Felipe Samano of San Francisco, CA, grandchildren; Angie (Richard) Perez, Mary (Johnny) Martinez, Maria (Ricky) Garza, Reynaldo, Jr. (Amerika) Garza all of Laredo, Yolanda (Mike) Fonseca, Felipe Samano, Jr., Jorge (Laura) Samano, Johnny Samano and Joseph Samano all of San Francisco, CA., 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous relatives and friends. Family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Francisco Pena and the staff from LMC. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 4pm to 9pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory to San Martin de Porres Church. Holy mass will commence at 11am. Pallbearers will be; Ramon Samano, Andres Samano, Reynaldo Garza, Jorge Samano, Reynaldo Garza, Jr., Johnny Martinez, Richard Perez and Greg Galvan.
