Fernando “El Maistro” Tays, Sr., 78, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2006. Mr. Tays was preceded in death by his sons: Fernando Tays, Jr., Alejandro Tays, parents: Juan Tays and Pilar Tays Guzman. He is survived by his wife of sixty years of marriage, Ernestina G. Tays, children: Armando (Concepcion) Tays, Raymundo Tays, Juanita (Leonel) Ramos, Francisco (Linda) Tays, George (Dora) Tays, Roberto Tays, Evangelina (Robert Puente) Martinez and Lupita (Juan) Reyes, daughter-in-law: Linda B. Tays, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters: Evangelina Garza, Eduardo Tays, Josefa De Los Santos, Maruca Segovia, German (Socorro) Tays and Graciela (Tono) Argais. Visitation will be Thursday, December 21, 2006 from 4pm – 9pm at Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 22, 2006 from Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home to San Agustin Cathedral. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home, 802 Coke St.
