Francisca V. Vargas, 102, went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2013. Mrs. Vargas was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Reyes Vargas and daughter, Maria Luisa Vargas. Left to cherish her memory are her; children, Juan L. Vargas and Hilda V. Gonzalez; grandsons, Ricardo (Sarah) Vargas, Miguel A. (Claudia) Gonzalez, Jr., Mario A. (Brenda) Gonzalez and Mark A. Gonzalez; great-grandchildren, Ricardo Vargas, Jr., Samuel Vargas, J.J. Vargas, Mario A. Gonzalez, Jr., Carmen A. Gonzalez, Gerardo Gonzalez and Mateo Gonzalez. She is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Luis Benavides, nurse Claudia Horigan, caregivers Luisa Martinez and Santitos Gaytan. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013, from 5pm to 9pm at Nieto Funeral home and Crematory where a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 21, 2013, departing via cortege from the funeral home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 8:30am.
