Obituary For Germanita Gomez

Germanita (Gemita) Gomez, 95, as she was known, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 5, 2016. Gemita loved to teach piano during her youth and retired as an insurance agent with Texas Protective Insurance Company. Mrs. Gomez is preceded in death by her husband Samuel Gomez; parents, Germanita & Jose De Leon; aunts, Manuelita and Angelita Cruz; siblings, Cayetana (Guadalupe) Torres, Teofilo (Adelfa) Esquivel, Jose (Elvira) Esquivel and Jesus De Leon, Alfredo De Leon; nephews, TR (Mary) Esquivel and Jesus Enrique De Leon. She is survived by her nieces, Graciela (Tony) Gonzalez, Rosa Daggs of Meza, Arizona, Martha (Humberto) Villarreal, Delia Crawford of Garland, Alma Lopez of La Port; nephews, Alfonso (Pam) Esquivel of Fort Worth, Joe (Mary) Esquivel of San Antonio, Juan Tomas De Leon of Houston, Armando (Lucia) De Leon of Galveston; sister in law, Vicenta De Leon. A special thanks to Dr. Casas and the caring nurses and staff from Retama South. Funeral service will be on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory with a visitation beginning at 9:30 am. A Eucharistic service will be officiated at 11:00 am by Deacon Gerardo Morales. Interment will follow immediately in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Alfonso Esquivel, Antonio Gonzalez, Humberto “Beto” Villarreal, Humberto “Tito” Villarreal, Jr., Jaime Castro and Joe Guerra. Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, 802 Coke St. Laredo, TX 78040. Condolences can be expressed to the family online at www.nietofuneral.com.

    Reciban nuestras condolencias. El perder a un ser querido en la muerte es muy doloroso por eso queremos compartir con ustedes el consuelo que Dios nos da mediante las escrituras. Por ejemplo Dios nos promete que eliminará para siempre las enfermedades, en Isaías 33:24 dice que llegara el día en que nadie dirá "estoy enfermo". Nos promete que eliminará la muerte, en Revelación o Apocalipsis 21:4 dice que "Dios limpiara toda lágrima de los ojos y la muerte no será más". Y por último en Hechos 24:15 dice que "va ha haber una resurrección". Eso quiere decir que nuestro dador de la vida Jehova Dios tiene el deseo de devolverles la vida a nuestros seres queridos que han muerto. Todo lo malo que vemos y por lo que pasamos será cosa del pasado.
