Gloria V. Holguin Sept. 15, 1942 - Jan. 2, 2013 Gloria Holguin, 70, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, in Alice, TX. Mrs. Holguin was preceded in death by her father: Raul Venegas Sr., mother: Reynalda L. Venegas, brother: Jaime Venegas, nephew: Jaime Raul “J.R.”Mendes and granddaughter: Veronica Niño. She is survived by her husband of 49 years of marriage: Victor Holguin, children: Diana (Joe) Niño, Sylvia H. (Jerry) Salazar, and Luis (Monica) Holguin, grandchildren: Marisa Niño, Roberto Niño, Adriana Niño, Natalie Holguin and Luis Holguin Jr., great-grandchildren: Macen Alfaro and Issac Ray Villarreal, sisters: Esperanza “Hope” Muñoz. Gabina (Martin) Sada, Sylvia (Martin) Gomez, Patricia (Roger) Vela and Olga V. Flores, brothers: Raul (Elva) Venegas Jr., Ruben (Idalia) Venegas, Homero (Annabelle) Venegas, Sergio (Concepcion) Venegas, Jorge (Josie) Venegas, Ricardo (Janie) Venegas, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will be receiving guests at Nieto Funeral Home and Crematory on Sunday, January 6, 2013, from 5pm to 9pm. A rosary will commence at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Monday, January 7, 2013, from the funeral home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8:30am.
