Pvt. Hector Luna was retired from military service of the United States of America after more than five years of honorable discharge service with the U.S. Army. Pvt. Luna was a Korean War veteran with the 3rd infantry division, fighting at the front lines during the Korean War conflict. During his fight he was MIA among other soldiers who bravely fought to remain strong among one another, all while enduring difficult paths to safety. Despite numerous obstacles, his courage and perseverance to continue fighting are to admire and qualities not easily attained. A Korean veteran that endured immense sacrifice can only be associated with loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage.

Beto Jr
Forgive me, Tio Hector, for not having kept in touch. Always quick with a joke, you always made me laugh. "Soldado!" That's what you'd yell each time you saw me when I was home on leave. I will always remember you and mom drinking coffee in the peaceful early mornings--sharing quiet talks as only a brother and sister can. And, I will never forget your military service which included your tour of duty in Korea during the Korean Conflict. Rest in Peace, Tio. And to the rest of the Luna Family, may God grant you peace and comfort during this sad time. God bless you, Tio. God bless you, family. Your Nephew--Beto Jr.

El senor Luna would always yell and sing "Silent night" I could hear him all the way from my house. And would get upset with my mom because, she had the radio full blast. He was such great neighbor and will truly be missed. My condolonces to the Luna Family.
