Homero Fernando Contreras, Sr. 46, passed away peacefully at his home in Rio Bravo, Texas on August 17, 2014. Mr. Contreras is preceded in death by his parents; Filiberto Contreras Sr. and Emma Contreras and his brothers; Pablo Contreras, Raymundo Contreras, Jose Antonio Contreras and Eduardo (Lalo) Contreras. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia Yvonne Contreras, three sons, Homero F. Contreras, Jr., Ricardo Contreras and Christopher Contreras, and daughter; Yvonne Jasmine Contreras. He is also survived by his siblings; Filiberto Contreras Jr., San Juanita Contreras Lara, Francisco (Ericka) Contreras, Guadalupe Mario (Crystal) Contreras, Martin Contreras and Patricia (Marco) Longoria, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory where a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, from the funeral home to San Vicente De Paul Church, 1119 S. Louisiana Ave. where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 am. Interment will follow immediately in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Hwy 359. Pallbearers will be: Homero F. Contreras, Jr., Ricardo Contreras, Christopher Contreras, Thomas Burton, Israel Contreras, Freddy Serrano, Jose Efrain Diaz, Guadalupe Valle, Jose Carlos Garcia and Salvador De Hoyos.
