Obituary For Jesus Maria Martinez, III
Beloved spouse, father, and grandfather Jesus M. Martinez III joined our Lord in his heavenly kingdom at the age of 74 on Monday, March 7, 2022.
Mr. Martinez was born in Laredo and was a retired veteran from the Air Force. He served in Vietnam from 1967-1968. After his military service, he worked for LISD as a teacher for 22 years teaching at H.B. Zachary and Alma Pierce Elementary. He was also the director for the Boys and Girls club in El Cenizo for 7 years.
Mr. Martinez was a hard-working man who loved to spend time with his wife of 52 years, children, and grandchildren. He loved to be outdoors and always enjoyed studying history, reading westerns, and watching John Wayne movies.
He is preceded in death by parents: Jesus M Martinez Jr, Lucila Arredondo Martinez, and sister Lucila Rosa Martinez.
Left to cherish his memory is his spouse Maria De Jesus Martinez, children Jesus IV(Maria) Martinez, Gilberto (Gema) Martinez, Sirenia Martinez, and Diana P. Martinez, grandchildren, Jennifer Michelle Martinez, Gilberto Martinez Jr., Jesus M. Martinez V, David Martinez, and Alina Marie Martinez, as well as his cherished Lhasa Apso, Archie.
There will be a ceremony for Mr. Martinez on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 10AM at the Veteran’s pavilion at the city cemetery.

So sorry for the lost of Mr Martinez . He was my second grade teacher at HB Zachary Elementry School.I cannot forgets his works he told me when we were making a musical play at school , I was carrying the UNITED STATE FLAG and "he told me this flag better not touch the ground "you understand and yes sir I said . It is with great sorrow that I have learned that my very good and close cousin, Chuy ('Chuyito' as we would refer to him owing up ) has passed. I will always cherish the awesome times we shared including a few 'adventures', My deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers to you Maria, and the children and the rest of the family. Love, Jack
