Jorge A. Barrera, 61, was called by the Lord on Monday, December 27, 2021 after a one year battle with cancer. Mr. Barrera is preceded in death by his parents, Jorge Barrera and Virginia G. Barrera; daughter, Cassandra Barrera and sister, Sylvia B. Cavazos. He is survived by his; daughters, Yesenia Barrera and Vanessa Barrera; siblings, Ana Luisa (Gustavo) Guevara and Alfonso (Nora) Barrera; brother in law, Roberto Cavazos; grandchildren, Eden, Malaya, Aaron and Xavier; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends that will greatly miss him. The family would also like to thank his close friend Mario Martinez for being with him throughout this difficult time

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.
