Jorge Melendez, 94, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013. Mr. Melendez is survived by; children, Felipe (Josie) Melendez, Guadalupe Morales, George (Gloria) Melendez, Jr., Juan (Evangelina) Melendez, Victor (Susie) Melendez, Sr., Alberto (Rosa) Melendez, Sr., Ricardo (Victoria) Melendez and Lourdes (Juan) Perez; 32 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great grandchildren; and sisters, Maria (Juan) Zavala and Lola Martinez. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 26, 2013 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory to San Vicente de Paul Church. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Victor Melendez, Jr., Felipe Melendez, Rodolfo Melendez, Trinidad Morales, David Herrera, Dominic Cruz, Juan Perez and Alberto Melendez.
