Mr. Jose Aguirre went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 27, 2024 at the age of 85.

Mr. Aguirre was born in Laredo and had been a lifelong resident. He was a long-time employee of UISD. He dedicated more than 30 years as a bus driver and loved helping transport children to and from school. Music was a big part of his life. The sweet melody of his guitar and music will be dearly missed. A beloved father, grandfather and friend’s memory will forever live in the hearts of those blessed to have shared in his journey.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ana Maria Aguirre and his parents, Atanacio Aguirre and Maximiana Velasquez Aguirre.

Left to cherish her memory are his children, Ana Maria (Jose) Vazquez, Jose Martin (Maria del Rosario) Aguirre, Adela (Jose Luis Jr.) Aguilar, Sara (Miguel) Ramirez, and Andres Aguirre; grandchildren, Noemi Vazquez, Rita Gomez, Jesus Vazquez, Abraham Vazquez, Maria Guadalupe Aguire, Ana Aguirre, Jose Aguirre Jr., Miguel Aguirre, Daniel Negrete, Luis Aguilar, Ricardo Aguilar, Michael Aguilar, Alejandro Aguirre, Cruz Ramirez, Sherlyn Ramirez, Miguel Ramirez, Anayari Ramirez and by numerous other relatives and friends.

The Aguirre family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the staff of Laredo South Nursing and Rehab, Nurses on Wheels and Dr. Luis Benavides for the compassionate care.

The family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 during a visitation from 5pm-9pm at Nieto Funerals & Cremations, located at 3502 US Hwy 83, Laredo, TX 78046. A Rosary will be recited at 7pm.
