Obituary For Jose Antonio "Tony" Sanchez

Founder of the low rider club Brown Impression Gone but Never Forgotten… Jose Antonio Sanchez, Sr. 12/28/1960 - 07/25/2017

Jose Antonio "Tony" Sanchez, Sr., 56, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 25, 2017.

He was a devoted husband to his wife, good father to his children and an amazing grandfather to his grandchildren. Mr. Sanchez resided in Los Angeles, Huntington Park and moved back to Laredo in 1975. "Tony" as fondly known started the first low rider club in Laredo, Texas in 1978 with his 1971 Monte Carlo. He began the Brown Impression Low Rider Club with about 30 members. Soon after that, Brown Impression Low Rider Club began to grow and are now known nationwide.

After 33 years of being a truck driver he retired and dedicated his life to his family.

Mr. Sanchez is preceded in death by his parents, Victor (Adelfa) Sanchez, Sr. and brother, Juan Francisco Sanchez.

He is survived by his wife, Blanca Estela Sanchez; children, Jose A. (Monica) Sanchez, Jr., Cristina Isabel (Leonel) Tijerina, Rosa Linda (Rodolfo) Garcia, Jr., Adelfa Sanchez, Blanca Miranda Sanchez and Lexie Maite Sanchez; grandchildren, Luis Sanchez, Jose A. Sanchez, III, Francisco Malacara, Jr., Cristopher Malacara, Leonel Tijerina, Jr. and Liam Tijerina; brothers, Victor (Juanita) Sanchez, Jr., Juan G. Sanchez and Martin Sanchez; sisters, Ciprianita Vela and Irene Sanchez, Also surviving Mr. Sanchez are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends that will greatly miss him.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 28, 2017, from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory. A prayer service will start at 5:30 pm with Minister Francisco Ochoa and Pastor Greg Liles will officiate a service at 7:00 pm. A memorial celebration for Jose Antonio Sanchez, Sr. will be Saturday, July 29, 2017, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Coyote Ugli located at 4610 San Bernardo Ave.

Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, 802 Coke St. Laredo, TX 78040. Condolences can be expressed to the family online at www.nietofuneral.com.

    On behalf of the Monico and Isabel Rodriguez surviving family (DECEACED.) Our most sincere condolences to Tony's family. We pray that he finds eternal rest as he joins his loved ones in heaven. Prayers for all during this difficult time. Our parents Monico and Chavela were compadres and friends of the Sanchez'. We shared many days as childhood friends and have very fond memories of the Sanchez family.
