Jose Maria Sanchez, Jr., 68, entered into eternal rest, Monday, September 6, 2021. Mr. Sanchez is preceded in death by his parents; Jose Maria Sanchez and Dolores Sanchez, sisters; Mary S. Brown and Sara Criger.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years of marriage; Maria Magdalena Sanchez, son; Juan De Dios (Virginia) Orta, grandchildren; Tania Yael Orta, Juan De Dios Orta and Jania Itzel Orta, sister; Sandra Chavez, close nephews; Mark Chavez, Juan Chavez, Cesar Chavez, Miguel Angel Chavez, Agustin Chavez and Joe Daniel Chavez, brother; Juan Jose (Mercedes L.) Sanchez, niece; Elizabeth Cristina Sanchez, nephew; Mario Cavasos, brother; Rolando (Glenda) Sanchez, niece; April Sanchez and nephew; Rolando Sanchez, Jr., sister; Sylvia (Alberto) Garcia, nieces; Patsy Pierce, Priscilla Mata, and nephew; Gabriel Garcia, brother; Jorge (Eugenia) Sanchez and niece; Angelita Sanchez; as well as other family members and friends that will greatly miss him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 from the funeral home to Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. Interment will follow immediately in the Veteran's Section of the Laredo City Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 59 of Laredo and flag presentation will be provided by the United States Navy honor guard.
