Jose Santa Cruz, 93, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, October 21, 2021. Mr. Santa Cruz is preceded in death by his wife; Maria Guadalupe Santa Cruz, children; Jorge Santa Cruz, Juan Jose Santa Cruz and Eduardo Santa Cruz and grandson; Abel Garza.

He is survived by his children; Maria Dolores (John) Frano, Candelario (Guadalupe) Santa Cruz, Maria Magdalena Santa Cruz and Guadalupe Santa Cruz; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; siblings; Maria Cerda, Eva (Margarita) Aguilar, Manuel Santa Cruz and Rogelio Santa Cruz; as well as other family members that will greatly miss him.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 25, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from the funeral home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Funeral mass will begin at 8:30 am. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 59 of Laredo and flag presentation will be provided by the United States Army honor guard. Cremation service will be held a later date.
