Josefina Alfaro Arciga, 88, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at a local hospital. Finita was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her presence in our lives was one of the most significant and precious moments we shared together. She was one of a kind. Finita attended Santa Maria Adult Daycare and greatly enjoyed every moment she spent with all her friends. She enjoyed lotteria, bingo, dancing, cooking and most of all, the time she spent with her great-grandchildren; Those were moments she would never forget. We will have her in our hearts and always have in mind her greatest attributes. We would like to give special thanks to her doctor of 30 years, Dr. Idelfonso Flores and other doctors, nurses and staff of Laredo Specialty Hospital for their unconditional care and sympathy. Also a very special thanks to her friend; Esperanza Barrera. Finita was preceded in death by her husband; Luciano Arciga, her parents; Concepcion Alfaro and Dolores Perez. She is survived by her daughter; Guadalupe A. (Jorge) Trevino, grandchildren; Lucy (Juan) Reyes, Herman Arciga, Jose Roberto (Ofelia) Arciga, Wenceslado Trevino and Zulema (Rolando) Villalobos all of Laredo, great grandchildren; Andy and Clarissa Reyes, Zulema, AJ, Hannah and Herman Arciga, Jr., Cassandra, Zenaida, Amaris Arciga, Kevin, Kehyla, Kristelle Trevino, Sophia, Rolando, Jr., Roel, Crystal Villalobos, Lisa, Crystal and Nandito Trevino, brothers and sisters; Eloy Alfaro, Elizabeth (+Frank) Martinez of Forth Worth, Concepcion (Adela) Alfaro, Eva (Alejandro) Villarreal all of Forth Worth, Blas (Rosa) Alfaro of Houston and Maria (Hilario) Villarreal of Forth Worth. Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2009 from 4 pm to 9 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary recited at 7 pm by Deacon Jose Rodriguez.
