Josefina Avalos De Garcia, 81, entered into eternal rest, Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Mrs. Garcia was born in Yurecuaro Michoacan. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved to spend time with her family and baking for them.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Teodora and Juan Avalos, sister; Teresa Rocha and brother; Domingo Avalos.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years of marriage; Gilberto Garcia, children; Rosa Elva (+ Jesus E.) Cantu, Graciela Kawas, Yolanda (Reynaldo) Garza, Sara A. (Oscar) Trevino, Olga L. (David) Nava, Arturo (Carolina) Garcia, Mario (Ana) Garcia and Gilberto (Diana) Garcia; 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and siblings; Felicitas Avalos, Juan (Elodia) Avalos, Pedro (Ludivina) Avalos, Cecilia Avalos, Maria de Jesus (Florencio) Villegas, and Manuel (Donna) Avalos; as well as other family members and friends that will greatly miss her.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Friday, December 4, 2020 where a chapel service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow immediately at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Ricardo Garcia, Jr., Joey Trevino, Reynaldo Garza, Jr., Miguel Angel Nava, Gilberto Garcia III., and Arturo Garcia, Jr.
