Josefina Cardenas, 89, went to be with the Lord, Monday, June 15, 2009. Mrs. Cardenas was preceded in death by her husband; Genaro Cardenas and son; Ruben Cardenas. She is survived by her children; Olga (Jesus) Vasquez, Roberto (Zoila) Cardenas, Rogelio (Martha) Cardenas, Maria Elva (Adolfo) Zequeda, Rodolfo (Ofelia) Cardenas, Maria De Jesus (Lucio) Vega, Reyes D. (Maria) Cardenas, Graciela (Pedro) Valadez, Enrique (Guadalupe) Cardenas and Genaro (Esperanza) Cardenas, 47 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, sister; Aurora (Ignacio) Mendoza, brother; Antonio Saavedra, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Cardenas will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 3 pm to 9 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary recited at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2009 from Nieto Funeral Home to Santo Nino Church. Holy mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
