Obituary For Juan Ignacio Idrogo
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juan Ignacio Idrogo, a dedicated educator and beloved family man, who departed from this life on December 29, 2025, at the age of 77.
He is preceded in death by his son, Antonio Idrogo; daughter, Alma Jesusita Idrogo; parents, Juan Ignacio Idrogo, Sr. & Irma Yolanda Idrogo; siblings, Noe Idrogo; Ernesto Idrogo, and Maria Christina Idrogo; father & mother-in-law, Brigido & Cleotilde Zavala.
Juan is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Juanita Idrogo; sons, Juan Ignacio Idrogo, Jr., and Elias Daniel Idrogo (Marisol Flores); grandchildren, Nathan Daniel Idrogo, Clarissa Viridiana Idrogo-Blume, Kiana Halya Idrogo; great-grandson, Thiago Leonardo Blume; siblings, Dora Alicia Idrogo (Thomas Ray Watkins), Diana Elsa Idrogo (Adam Hernandez), Irma Idalia Idrogo (Antonio Aguilar, III), Sara Leticia Idrogo, and Yolanda Minerva Idrogo (Juan Cantu+); brothers & sisters-in-law, Maria Concepcion Idrogo, Sylvia Yolanda Zavala (Raul Balderas), Juan Ernesto Zavala (Maricela), Norma Zavala, Maricela Hurtado (Osvaldo), Brigido Zavala, and Ricardo Cuellar (Tomasa); as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, other family and friends who will greatly miss him.
The family would like to give their utmost thanks to Alfa Home Health Hospice and their nurses for their dedication and care of our father.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Nieto Funerals & Cremations, 3502 US Hwy 83, Laredo, TX 78046 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm.
Memorial services will be on Wednesday, January 14, 2025, at Santa Rita de Casia Catholic Church, 1001 Espejo Molina Rd, Rio Bravo, TX 78046. A Mass in his honor will take place at 10:00 am.
Inurnment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
