Juan J. Briones, 64, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010. Mr. Briones was preceded in death by his parents: Guadalupe and Stela Briones and his brother: Margarito Briones. He is survived by his wife: Dolores Briones, daughters: Lupita (B. J.) Arriga, Rosalinda Barrientos, and Sara (Robert) Zavala, sons: Juan Jose (+Maricela) Briones Jr., Gerardo Briones, Jorge (Iris) Briones, Lucas Garcia, and Frank Garza, 18 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, brother: J. Henry (Becky) Briones, sister: Sylvia Grund Briones, sister-in-law: Belia Briones, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, from 5pm-9pm at Nieto Funeral Home and Crematory, with a Rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, from the funeral home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Holy mass will be celebrated at 8:30 am. Interment will follow immediately at the City Cemetery Veteran's Section. Full military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 59 and Flag Detail by U.S. Marine Corps. Pallbearers will be; Gerardo Briones, Jorge Briones, Arthur Briones, Roberto Zavala, Jr., B.J. Arriaga, Lucas Garcia, Frank Garza and Robert Zavala.
