Juan Teodoro Tamez October 8, 1942 - January 16, 2016

Juan Teodoro Tamez entered into eternal rest Saturday, January 16, 2016 at a local hospital surrounded by his loving family at the age of 73. Mr. Tamez was born and raised in Laredo and had many friends. He was very proud of the “El Barrio Guadalupe”. Juanito as many would call him was positive and never had anything bad to say. Always optimistic that tomorrow would be a better day.

Mr. Tamez was preceded in death by his parents; Juan L. Tamez and Crispina V. Tamez, Sister; Anita T. Gonzalez, Brother; Luis V. Tamez, Nephews; Gerardo Gonzalez and Armando Gonzalez.

He is survived by his Brother-in –law; Alfredo Gonzalez, Sister-in–law: Ruby Tamez, Nieces and Nephews; Christina (Jose M.) Gamez Jr., Alfredo (Patricia) Gonzalez Jr., Alberto Gonzalez, Ruby Christine (Alejandro) Flores, Louise Victoria (Guillermo) Lopez Jr., Leah Virginia (Luis) De La Torre and Niece-in-law Duvina Gonzalez, Grand Nieces and Nephews; Jose Alfredo Gamez, Jessica (Jose Alfredo) Ramos Jr., Alfredo Gonzalez III, Armando Gonzalez, Alexis (Ariana) Gonzalez, Alberto Gonzalez Jr., Alejandro (Stephanie) Gonzalez, Andres Gerardo Gonzalez, Dayna Morales, Ruby Isabella Flores, Mateo Alejandro Flores, Luis Guillermo Lopez and Linus Lopez, Great Grand Nieces and Nephews; Jose Alfredo Gamez Jr., Annie Amelia Garcia, Jose Alfredo Ramos III and Alessandra Gonzalez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 19, 2016 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory where a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, from the funeral home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 8:30am. Interment will follow immediately in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
