Juanita Lopez Dougherty, 86, entered into rest on Sunday, July 23, 2006. Mrs. Dougherty was born December 26, 1919 in Laredo, TX. Juanita married James Monroe Dougherty and resided in Laredo for most of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of her pets, garden and visiting friends. Mrs. Dougherty was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Dougherty in 1983, her sons; Francisco Dougherty in 1974 and Ricardo Dougherty in 2003. She is survived by her sons; James E. Dougherty and family; John (Beth)Dougherty and family of Forth Worth, TX, Guillermo A. (Ramona)Dougherty and family of Laredo, TX, her daughters; Margie (Luis) Preciado and family of Waukegan, ILL and Catarina Romero and family of Laredo, TX, also surviving her are her twenty-four grandchildren, forty one great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild, Alexa. Mrs. Dougherty will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 25, 2006 from 4pm – 9pm at Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 from Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home to Mother Cabrini Church. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home, 802 Coke St.
