Justin, you were my childhood friend. You were a unique soul that couldn't be ignored, and will never be forgotten. We don't know why these things happen, or what drives us to do what we will. Nevertheless, your mission of friendship and humor will always be remembered and may you finally be at peace. My love is with you, Vianey, and your family.

We don't know what to say as Justin is both a Red Cross team member as well as special friend. We have known Justin and his father since 2005 as both joined the Dallas Area Emergency Response 'Strike Team' that year, traveling to several disasters; just this morning before receiving Jose's call I had been looking at and downloading pictures to facebook... several had Justin with his warm smile and youthful energy while working first-aid stations at Mardi Gras in New Orleans in 2006. Justin, we will personally miss you - and to Jose and family, we are here for you sincerely. Justin... thank you for the memories of a very special young man.

My dearest sympathies to Joe and Vianey. I'm at a loss for words to hear such a tragedy has occurred. Seems like only a few years have elapsed since I last saw him. Being a close family to my own it seems almost like family. My condolences to your family.
