He was my co-sponsor in the Spanish Honor Society, and a terrific Spanish poetry and drama teacher. Thanks to him and our dear Rita, our Martin High students did so well learning n reciting Spanish poetry. He is gone but his legacy continues with the many students he taught in Laredo. It's hard to believe that a man that gave himself wholeheartedly to his students and ably cultivated talent in barren soil is peacefully resting in the arms of our Lord. I am one of those whom he taught and nourished in the recitation of Spanish poetry; I even got to act in Spanish drama and read Spanish prose. Daphne Michael Nassif QED
