Mrs. Barrera was a woman ahead of her time. She was unapologetic, took no-nonsense, and shared her opinion with you without regret. I loved her for all it. Even though she was fierce, she was very accommodating to everyone who crossed her path. She made sure you were comfortable, fed, and happy. She smiled a lot and was funny. She was personable and easy to talk to. She loved all of her family unconditionally and cared for all of them. What an awesome way to live. What an awesome life. I'm lucky to have her known her and a better person for it. RIP Mrs. Barrera. You are already missed. Hugs and prayers to my Tia Diana, Tio Meme, and my cousins, Amanda, LeAnn and all of Mrs. Barrera's family.
