Maria Ascencion Ruiz, 93, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Mrs. Ruiz is preceded in death by her parents; Pablo Ruiz and Francisca Cortez Ruiz, siblings; Felicitas Arriaga and Lucia Escamilla.

She is survived by her children; Oscar (Rafaela) Renteria, Bertha Alicia Renteria, Heriberto (Daisy) Renteria, Rosa Irene Renteria, Isidoro (Noemi) Renteria, Martin (Irma) Renteria; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, siblings; Lilia Ruiz, Irma Irene Ruiz; as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends that will greatly miss her.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017, from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 from the funeral home to San Agustin Cathedral. Holy mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow immediately in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Martin Renteria, Oscar Renteria, Heriberto Renteria, Isidoro Renteria, Kevin Renteria and Luis Pablo Renteria.
