Maria B. Cercado, 82, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 22, 2024.

Maria is survived by her children Ana Maria Castillo (Marcelo Castillo+), Maria de los Angeles Guzman, Dolores G. Martinez, Rosio E. Torres (Gabino Torres), Nelly Alejandro (Jesus M. Alejandro), Marilu Gonsalez (Tomas Gonsalez), Luis Contreras (Carol Rodriguez), Eduardo Humberto Recio III (Brigett Sarli); grandchildren, Gabino Torres Jr., Andres (Dominique Scott Torres), Christian A. Torres (Valeria), Logan, Ricardo Martinez Jr. (Samantha Contreras), Rodolfo A. Martinez, Mayra A. Ramos, Roxana Martinez, Juan M. Castillo, Antonio Castillo, Alfredo Castillo, DeAngelo Contreras, Angelina Contreras, Cassandra Contreras, Luis Contreras+, Elvira Contreras+, Jonathan Gonsalez, Angel Gonsalez, Briana Gonsalez, Vanessa A. Murillo (Felipe Murillo Jr.), Alondra A. Martin (Brandon Martin), Samantha Alejandro, Kathlyn A. Alejandro, Claudia Guzman, Brenda Garcia, Jorge A. Guzman, Humberto D. Ramirez, Luis Cardenas, Eduardo Vasquez, Damien Recio, Christopher Recio, Mercedes Recio, Meriah Recio, Angel Recio, and Lucky Recio; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as other family and friends who will greatly miss her.

The family will be receiving condolences on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Nieto Funerals & Cremations from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be officiated at 10:00 am. Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery.
