Maria De Jesus Salazar, 77, entered into eternal rest, Saturday, October 9, 2021. Mrs. Salazar is preceded in death by her husband; Nicolas L. Salazar, daughter; Maria De La Luz Estrada and grandson; Manuel Estrada, Jr.

She is survived by her children; Antonio Salazar, Florinda (Joe) Castro, Juan Inez Salazar, Clemencia (Hector) Paez, Nicolas (Elizabeth) Salazar, Zenaida (Roberto Gomez) Salazar, Teresita De Jesus (Francisco) Paez and Alejandro (Nadia) Salazar; 20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; as well as other family members and friends that will greatly miss her.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Bertha Covarrubias who was Mrs. Salazar's caretaker for 11 years.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 14, 2021 from the funeral home to Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Funeral Mass time is pending. Interment will follow immediately at the Panteon De Guadalupe Cemetery located in Carrizo Springs, Texas. Pallbearers will be: Antonio Salazar, Juan Salazar, Nicolas Salazar, Alejandro Salazar, Hector Paez, Jr., Andres Salazar, Alonzo Salazar and Nicolas Salazar IV.
