Maria De La Luz Lares, 87, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011. Mrs. Lares was preceded in death by her husband; Teodoro Lares, sons; Andres Lares and Jesus Lares, son-in-law; Richard Battistata. She is survived by her children; Jose Teodoro (Maria Concepcion) Lares, Maria (Mario) Lares Salinas, Oscar (Yolanda) Lares, Tomas Lares, Martha Lares Battistata, Arnulfo Lares, James Lares and Joseph Lares, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Lares will be greatly missed. Visitation was held Friday, July 15, 2011 from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm at Funeraria Sanchez, Yucatan 1615 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. Funeral services will be today, Saturday, July 16, 2011 with a chapel service held at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow to Panteon Municipal Antiguo in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
