Obituary For Maria Del Refugio "Cuquita" Elizondo
Maria del Refugio Elizondo, 85yrs, born July 4, 1928, went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her family and loved ones. Mrs. Elizondo was born at Las Palmas Ranch and lived in Laredo, TX all of her life. She was a very loving, caring and supporting mother, sister and grandmother. On her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo, loteria, listening to music, dance and having family reunions. She always had a beautiful smile that was very contagious to everyone she met, especially to her friends at the adult day care. Mrs. Elizondo was preceded in death by her husband, Trinidad Elizondo, parents: Jose Castillo and Benita Castillo and her brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Aurora Elizondo, Maria Guzman, Alicia Valero, Ricardo (Rosantina) Elizondo, Hector (Margie) Elizondo, Rosa (Jose) Villanueva, Irene Arriaga, Maria Luisa (Tim) Nord and Roberto Elizondo, 29 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, numerous great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, from 5pm to 9pm at Nieto Funeral home and Crematory where a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Thursday, December 12, 2013, departing via cortege from the funeral home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30am. Interment will follow immediately at the City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Roberto Elizondo, Jose Villanueva Ricardo Elizondo, Hector Elizondo, Mario Santos, Roy Hernandez, Mario Elizondo and Manuel Navarro. Funeral services are under the arrangement of Nieto Funeral Home and Crematory, 802 Coke St. Laredo, TX 78040. For more information please call (956)723-3723.
