Maria Hilda Gonzalez, 77, was called to her heavenly home on February 23, 2024. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leandro Garza & Francisca Luna; siblings, Maria Josefina Gonzalez, Gloria Tobias, Norma Jimenez, Gabriel Tobias; granddaughter, Ashley L. Trejo and daughter-in-law, Maribelle Garza.

Maria is survived by her children, Jose Martin (†Maribel) Garza, Cynthia Diana Garcia, Deborah Leticia (Ivan) Reyes, Ruben Pablo Lopez, David Israel (Rosie R.) Mata, Maria Laura (Armando Jr.) Higareda, Lisa (Jaime) Garcia; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, brothers, sisters, as well as other family and friends.

The family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funerals and Cremations, 3502 US Hwy 83, Laredo, TX 78046. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Mass will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church at 9:30 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ruben Garcia, Edmundo Garcia, Erick I. Mata, Armando Higareda III, Jaime A. Garcia Jr., Hilda A. Garcia, Armando E. Garcia, and Ruben A. Garcia.
