Maria Luisa Benavides, 85 passed away in Austin, Texas, Thursday December 18, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband; Jose M. Benavides and her mother; Josefa De La Garza, and her brother; Jose De La Garza. She is survived by her only daughter; Hilda B. Alcantar and her sister; Consuelo Herrera. She had Grandchildren; Gerardo Garza, Jr., Maria Christina Garza (Eric )Thom, Jose Luis Garza (Jeannette Vasquez), Melissa Ann Garza, Vanessa Leigh Alcantar (Jose Luis Ramos), also by her Great Grandchildren; Ian Armand Garza, Kyle Alexander Thom, Krista Alexander Thom, Lawatt Marie Hertenstein, Gianna Leigh Alcantar, Jacob Luis Garza, Jaidyn Leigh Alcantar and Joseph Logan Garza, Visitation will be held on Monday December 22,2008 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and a rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 23,2008 at 8:30AM at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church. Interment will follow at the Catholic Cemetery.
