Obituary For Maria Sylvia Cavazos
Maria Sylvia Cavazos, 62, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Mrs. Cavazos was en election judge. She worked for her father at Barrera Export Agency. She volunteered at Doctor’s Hospital for many years. Mrs. Cavazos loved crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She enjoyed decorating her home according to seasons. Mrs. Cavazos was preceded in death by her parents Jorge and Virginia Barrera; niece, Cassandra Barrera; mother in law, Josefina Cavazos and brother in law Santiago Cavazos, Jr. She is survived by her husband Roberto Cavazos of Laredo; son, Roberto Cavazos, Jr. of Laredo; daughter, Miss Monika Cavazos of Austin; grandsons, Roberto Cavazos and Alberto Carlos Cavazos; sister, Ana Luisa (Gustavo) Guevara, Jr., brothers, Alfonso (Nora) Barrera and Jorge Alberto Barrera, all of Laredo; brother in law, Sergio (Brenda) Cavazos of Arp, Tx.; sisters in law, Ana Laura (Vito) Cavazos Ramirez and Rebecca (Robert) Sepulveda both of Laredo. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and other relatives. Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 27, 2010 with a visitation from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm with Msgr. James Harris officiating. Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Nieto Funeral Home and Crematory, 802 Coke St. Laredo, Tx. 78040. MY classmate of one of the high schools.Roberto & children I would always see SYLVIA when in town &always she w/ a smile, so proud of her babies "MONIKA"w/ a K she'd say & Always so cheery up of a beautiful attitude. Will miss seeing her around town. Loved her uppity personality.I would see her more w/ kids in school "nye" I think? LOVE to you' also we talk of ROBERTO'S aunt in INDIANA whom I also knew,EAST CHICAGO that was.
