Maria Victoria Luna de Gaytan, 83, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior, Monday, September 21, 2009. Mrs. Gaytan was born in Cedral, San Luis Potosi, MX on March 17, 1926 and had been a resident of Laredo most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pablo Gaytan in 2004, sisters; Lupita Luna de Gaytan and Ramona Luna de Castillo, brother-in-laws; Jesus Gaytan and Roman Castillo, nieces; Lupita Gaytan de Castro and Aurora Gaytan de Ramon. Mrs. Luna de Gaytan is survived by her children; Gilberto (Gloria) Gaytan from Illinois, Miss Esther Gaytan, Maria Victoria (Ignacio) Garcia and Maria S. (Jose) Puente, grandchildren; Lydia (Rosswell) Zirk from Illinois, Christina (Jonathan) Valencia from Illinois, Gabriela Edith, Moises Ignacio and Misael Anthony Garcia, Pablo (Maria) Puente, Victoria, Jose A. III, Maria Jose and Xavier Puente, great grandchildren; Angel Giovanni Valencia, Yesenia Zirk, Alejandro and Samantha Gaytan from Illinois, nieces and nephews; Rosa Gaytan de Magana, Amparo Gaytan de Salinas, Martha Gaytan de Marrufo, Carmen Gaytan de Montes, Jesus (Marga) Gaytan, Jr., Juanita (Roberto) Mendoza, Rogelio (Carolina) Castillo, numerous other relatives from Houston, TX and Monterrey, Nvo. Leon, MX. A prayer service will be held Friday, September 25, 2009 in the Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory chapel at 7 pm. A visitation will be held from 4 pm to 9 pm.
