MARIO ALBERTO GARZA 9-29-58 12-7-14 Mario Alberto Garza, 56, was called by the Lord on December 7, 2014 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Mario was born in Laredo, Texas on September 29, 1958 to Andres and Lidia Diaz Garza. Mr. Garza had been a life long resident of Laredo, Texas. He worked as a Library Circulation Supervisor for the City of Laredo Public Library and then worked for A. Pena Welding Service. He leaves behind many great memories in the hearts and minds of those who knew him and especially those whose life he touched. He will be missed by all his family and friends. Mr. Garza is preceded in death by his father Andres Garza Jr., Brother Andres Cruz Garza, Maternal and Paternal Grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Lidia Diaz Garza, Sisters, Leticia G. Hernandez, Patricia G. (Romeo) Palacios and Imelda G. Pena. Children, Mario A. (Laura) Garza Jr., Judith (Gerardo) Limon, Elizabeth M. (Leonardo) Limon, Sergio (Annette) Garza, Luis A. (Cristina) Garza, Cesar Garza, and Eduardo Garza, numerous nephews, nieces, 12 Grandchildren, other relatives and his close friends. A rosary will be recited Monday, December 15, 2014 at 7 pm in the Nieto Dickey Funeral Home Chapel at 802 Coke St. Visitation will be from 5 pm to 9 pm. A funeral service will be Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 8 a.m. from Nieto Dickey Funeral Home to depart to Mother Cabrini Church for a mass at 9 a.m. followed by a graveside service at the Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sergio Garza, Luis A. Garza, Eduardo Garza, Cesar Garza, Armando Pena, Jose Pena, Javier Pena, Juan Pena and Jose Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricardo Martinez, Cesar Hernandez, Steven Hernandez, Frank Heredia, and Romeo Palacios.
