Obituary For Mario Gerardo "Jerry" West

Mario Gerardo "Jerry" West entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the age of 54. Jerry lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures. Music and dancing was his passion. He was family oriented, kind hearted, happy, loving person. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is survived by his mother, Maria V. Garza; sisters, Mary E. West, Susan (Marcos) Hernandez, Cynthia (Gonzalo) Hernandez; brother, Gilbert Ochoa; sister in law, Maria Ochoa; as well as nieces, nephews, his second family from Fiesta Adult Day Care and his favorite Band; Javier, Chuy & Bui; other family members and friends that will greatly miss him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Friday, April 17, 2020 from Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow immediately at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Gilbert Ochoa, Jr., Mario A. Esparza, Erick Hernandez, Anthony Hernandez, Sergio Ayala, Alex Lopez, Jonathan Recio and Saul I. Hernandez.

Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, 802 Coke St. Laredo, TX 78040. Condolences can be expressed to the family online at www.nietofuneral.com.

    My uncle J I'm gonna miss you so much I'm going to miss your hugs and kisses it was the way you showed love and you loved everyone and unconditionally your love was pure I remember watching 3 stooges and playing cops and robbers when I was a kid and I remember the beautiful music you played always happy to see everyone. You will always be in our hearts and will be missed still can't believe your gone but you will never be forgotten

    Sorry I'm not there to say goodbye Tio but you know I would have been there if it weren't for this virus. It's not goodbye but until we see each other again! You know you were always loved and missed by us! I love you so much Tio and we will miss you greatly! You always knew how to make everyone smile and I'll never forget that smile, the times you always listen to your music and wanted me to come listen with you, the times you secretly asked me for money for Cheetos and Big Red, and all those times you said I was getting fat :). I know you are in heaven listening to music so loud and eating Cheetos and drinking Big Red! I love you so much Tio!!
