Melida C. Gonzalez, 79, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2009. Mrs. Gonzalez was preceded in death by her husband; Ruben Gonzalez, son; Ruben Luis Gonzalez, parents; Pedro (Manuela) Cantu and brothers and sister; Israel Cantu, Arnoldo Cantu and Iglieta Cantu. She is survived by her children; Norma G. (Amyn.) Ratanni, Dora Alicia (Jose Luis) Cantu, David De Jesus (Cecilia) Gonzalez, Pedro Gonzalez, Enrique Alberto (Sandra) Gonzalez and Jesus (Yolanda) Vargas, grandchildren; Jorge, Ruben, Carlos, Pedro, Erika, David, Casandra, Justin and Monzerratt, brother; Gilberto Cantu, sister; Dora Elia De La Cruz and nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 4 pm to 9 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary recited at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2009 with a chapel service at 9:00 am at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
